Ha ha ha! I've removed a couple of these spam comments from my blog recently as well, absolutely priceless! I may start leaving them on for comedy value!
Very refreshing to read knowledgeable comments on real ale from someone like yourself who , lets be honest, does not fit the stereotypical perception of a real ale drinker. The" glass ceiling "has been truly shattered !
Hi Daniel, thanks for your kind comments, I agree that beer should sell beer but my biggest problems is that people want to pigeon hole either drinkers or beers and that then stops people getting the great joy of trying new things.
Hi Melissa, just got home from being a long time away, got a pile of post including three what's brewing to read and enjoyed your articles. I do wish that women including my Mum and Girlfriend enjoyed Real Ale, they don't know what they're missing out on. I'm quite a PC person, but the ironic thing is that I think, having seen your website is that you are far more interesting (and attractive, if you want to know) than than the girl on the page and you know 1000 times more about beer than she does. Sex shouldn't sell anything to Real Ale drinkers, only the beer should.
Thanks for the invitation! I'm always happy to find some time in between drinking beer, writing about beer, reading about beer, and making beer, to be be included in a social network about beer.
Thanks for the invite and welcome, Melissa! Always ready and willing to assist fellow beer geeks (and geekettes) wherever and whenever the need arises.
Glad you like the religious themed mission statement. I'm toying with a new idea and that was the very first feeler I tossed out. Think I might have to go with it. ;)
Well, as we all wait for that snow to fall let me just give you something to look forward to, my festive food & beer tasting at Borough on Sunday.
Rather than rushing around a dull supermarket, the market is open on Sunday so why not enjoy some artisan food & drink charms and then wind-down with one of my tasting sessions.
An absolute bargain at just £25, for beers like Gale's Prize Old Ale '07 Vintage, Fuller's 2009 Vintage, Bateman's Rosey Nosey, O, Ho, Ho from Otley and a special Santa surprise of very rare proportions!
These will be matched with such delights as Mrs King's award-winning pies, cheese from Neal's Yard, some superb smoked salmon and seriously indulgent choccy delights - all sourced from the market.
So, if you fancy coming along then you can get tickets at the Rake or the Utobeer stand on Borough Market, or if you email melissa@love-beer.co.uk with a phone number we'll call for a card payment.
